Graduate Research Assistant
Lori is a doctorate level graduate research assistant at the Zarrow Center for Learning Enrichment at the University of Oklahoma. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Special Education at OU. Lori earned her Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from the University of Northern Colorado, and her Masters degree in Special Education from the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs. In Colorado, she taught students with learning, physical, cognitive and/or emotional disabilities. Lori has taken an active role in implementing balanced literacy instruction, standards based education, and inclusive education. In the past five years she has served as a consultant for the development of self-determination instructional strategies and curriculum at the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs. Lori is currently serving as the 2002-2004 State Treasurer for the Oklahoma Federation of the Council for Exceptional Children.
