Preference Indicators

The Center for Learning and Leadership, Oklahoma's University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, developed the Child Preference Indicators and Personal Preference Indicators. These two tools provide self-advocates, families, professionals, and academic and community colleagues a means to develop plans that match the needs, strengths, and preferences of students and adults with developmental disabilities. The Center for Learning and Leadership is located at the Univer-
sity of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, College of Medicine, P.O. Box 26901, ROB 342,
Oklahoma City, OK 73190-9968.

The Center for Learning and Leadership/UCEDD is a collaborative initiative of the University
of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center with support from the U.S. Administration on Develop-
mental Disabilities. It is in partnership with:

East Central University -  Ada, OK
The OU Health Sciences Center, Graduate and Professional Schools - Oklahoma City, OK
The University of Tulsa - Tulsa, OK.

Dr. Valerie N. Williams, Director of the Center for Learning and Leadership and Associate Vice Provost, provided permission (permission letter) to make the Child and Personal Preference Indicators available for no charge. The OU Health Sciences Center for Learning and Leadership and the OU Zarrow Center staff worked together to place the Child and Personal Preference Indicators on this web page.
