Goodbye College Hello Internship

Tuesday, January 20th, 2009

Well I am officially a College graduate. The past month has been extremely packed. Graduation was a great experience. I know people that get through with finals and decide not to walk. I highly recommend walking for graduation. It was awesome to see some of my teachers on the stage while I was walking across. A teacher that I had my sophomore year was receiving his doctorate at the same time that I was receiving my bachelors degree. My whole family yelled as I walked across the stage and took a picture with Dean Smith! Looking back, College was a great time. I have so many memories of living in the dorms, meeting new people, great classes, and football games. We made it to Florida for the National Championship. Luckily we left on Monday and had all week to lay on the beach before the game. When we got dropped off at Dolphin Stadium we only saw people in blue and orange. We were out-numbered enormously by Florida fans. The game was fun even though we lost. I was glad that we decided to fly out on Friday so that we would not have to listen to any more Florida fans! Graduation and the football game was a great way to spend my last Christmas break. I am excited and nervous to start my internship this week. I can't wait to meet the second graders that I will be working with.
