Goodbye Summer Hello Classes

Monday, August 25th, 2008

This weekend was my last weekend of summer. My fiance, three friends, and I packed up and headed to the lake. We wanted to spend our last weekend soaking up the sun, boating, and wake boarding. We stayed out on the lake all day Saturday and then came back to the cabin for hotdogs. We talked about our classes that we were going to start on Monday. We all have different majors so it is interesting to see what time their classes are, how many hours each person is enrolled in, and where their classes are located. We finished off the night by staying up till almost four in the morning watching the USA basketball team defeat Spain. I enjoyed the weekend with my friends but I am anxious to start classes and see all of my classmates again.

End of the Summer

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

Today is my last day watching the girls.  Throughout the summer I took pictures of the girls.  We took pictures everywhere we went.  Last week we made a scrapbook with the pictures that I had taken.  The girls really liked the scrapbook.  Hopefully the girls will look at the scrapbook and remember the fun times that we had this summer.  The girls are so excited to go to school.  They got new clothes, shoes, and school supplies.  The oldest girl has worn her backpack with the lunchbox attatched to it all morning long.  I asked her if she wanted to take it off and she told me no.

The youngest is going to attend Kindergarten at a private school.  The oldest is moving from the private school to a public school and she will attend first grade.  I think that it will be tough for the girls to be apart but at the same time it will make them stronger.   I hope that they both have great school years and I will keep in contact with them through the year!
