1/2009 to Present: Associate Dean for Graduate Programs and Research, Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education, University of Oklahoma, supervising graduate program development, activities for faculty and graduate student research and scholarly support, and liaison with Centers linked to research and graduate education missions of the College. 

8/2002 to Present: Assistant then Associate Professor, University of Oklahoma, Department of Instructional Psychology and Technology Program, Graduate Faculty member Educational Psychology, teaching Instructional Development & Learning Systems, Instructional Design I, II & III,  Instructional Technology Project Management, Educational Program Evaluation, Advanced Instructional Design Project, Motivation for Teachers, Needs and Task Analysis, Seminars, and Special Topics courses.  Courses include traditional, hybrid and online delivery formats.  Additional responsibilities include: advising graduate students, serving on and chairing masters and doctoral committees, directing the interdisciplinary Graduate Research Team, and serving on committees and in diverse service roles for the program area, department, college and university. 

7/1998 to 8/2002: Instructional Technologies Designer, Consultant, & Faculty Development Specialist, Academic Technologies Group, University of Iowa, helping faculty members develop instructional media courses and supplemental resources for classroom instruction, designing instruction to optimize learning and performance goals.  Responsibilities include designing, planning, developing, and conducting faculty and staff training in instructional technologies, in partnership with University of Iowa Center for Teaching Excellence.

Graduate Research Fellow, Educational Psychology, University of Iowa College of Education, Graduate Merit Fellow and Special Research Fellow, University of Iowa Graduate College, designing and conducting experimental and field research studies, writing grant proposals for research funding, developing support documentation (including consent forms and human subjects review materials), and preparing research findings for presentation and publication.

 
9/1990 to 6/1998:  Instructor, Southern Oregon University,
teaching Remedial and Developmental Writing, Expository Composition, Argumentation and Research Writing, and the interdisciplinary College Colloquium, teaching and tutoring, conferring regularly with students, reading and grading compositions, organizing and carrying out comprehensive courses of study, presented and participated in faculty cohort and development opportunities, served on departmental and campus committees, developed curriculum for the University Colloquium, organized curriculum support programs.

                  Instruction and program planning and development included computer-assisted, community service-based, and service-learning sections, holistic essay assessment, portfolio management and assessment, and academic and career advising, as well as supervising student aids and directing faculty development.

6/1983 to 9/1990:  Private tutor, editor, parent
privately  tutored students (secondary to graduate levels) as individuals and in groups, also teaching English and Writing courses for home educators, and fundamentals of creative writing and literature for young authors, edited author texts for publication, raised four children of my own. 

9/1982 to 6/1983:  Graduate Teaching Fellow, University of Oregon,
taught Composition, tutored and conferred regularly with students, read and graded compositions, organized and carried out comprehensive courses of study, participated in graduate faculty cohort and development opportunities.

9/1979 to 5/1982: Teaching Assistant, Student Teacher and Proctor, University of the Pacific,
taught Expository Writing jointly with Dr. Marge Bruce,  and Beginning French jointly with Dr. Janine Kreiter; prepared and presented specific units of study, assisted with evaluation and grading; taught Literary Criticism jointly with Dr. Robert Knighton, prepared and presented specific units of study, assisted with evaluation and grading, collaborated with faculty members on assessment; tutored individuals and groups of remedial and English as a Second Language  (ESL) students in grammar, composition and related subjects.
