The Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies in the Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education at The University of Oklahoma invites applications for two tenure-track positions at the assistant professor level. The individuals we seek will have expertise in policy research, program evaluation, organizational psychology/sociology, law and/or quantitative research methods and appropriate records of scholarship and teaching. The Educational Administration/Curriculum and Supervision program offers master’s, EdD and PhD degrees. Qualifications
Required: The persons we are seeking will have earned doctorates in educational administration with appropriate teaching potential in one or more content areas of Educational Administration/Curriculum and Supervision and evidence of scholarship. Successful candidates will be willing and able to work collegially with graduate students and peers and have a commitment to diversity and multiculturalism.
Preferred: Other preferences include evidence of a planned line of inquiry, refereed publications, the successful pursuit of external funding, research collaboration, course development, and productive interactions with practitioners.
Responsibilities
Successful candidates will be expected to pursue active research and publication agendas; participate in program area governance, department and college activities; teach program courses, advise graduate students and serve and/or chair thesis committees; work collaboratively with colleagues across the campus and in other institutions; work closely with schools and demonstrate leadership in professional organizations.
