College of Education Development

Since earning College status in 1929, the College of Education has been a leader in scholarly excellence for Oklahoma and across the country and has been at the forefront of the battle to provide equal educational opportunities to all of Oklahoma's citizens.

The College offers degree programs that prepare professional educators for the classroom as well as for careers in diverse fields, such as administration, counseling, literacy, and advocacy. Educational programs are accredited and approved by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, Oklahoma State Department of Education, and American Psychological Association as well as several professional associations for specific subject areas. 

The College's legacy of excellence has been made possible by the generous support of its alumni and friends. Charitable support from our donors becomes more important each year as the financial needs of our students grow along with the need to update facilities, technology, and other classroom equipment.
